Microsynthera
Hi, I'm June. I'm a struggling writer, hobbyist programmer, and generally just a curious person. I like trees, codes, puzzles, noise, DIY, stationary, rodents, computers, mushrooms, and mathematics. I write with fountain pens, type on typewriters, and listen to records. I play softball, videogames, and TRPGs. I pet my cat. I pick locks. I kiss my girlfriends. I write code (badly). mi toki pona. 日本語はちょっと話します。 I have a lot of hobbies and interests and not a lot of focus or drive. There's little hope for me, but I exist.
What Am I Doing Now?
My friends and I are working on a videogame. It will play a bit like a short version of "A Little To The Left" with an overworld. Specifically, I'm helping make assets. I just started making videogames with Godot, but it's going well. The best practices pages were very helpful and fun to read.
I'm learning about the uxn/Varvara virtual machine. It seems really cool: 64k memory, 36 opcodes, highly portable, with a stack-based assembly language. I want to make something with it... I started a tutorial to learn how uxntal, the assembly language, works.
I'm making a constructed language with a vine-like script based on function composition. So far I've sketched out the grammar: It will work a lot like a concatenative programming language. Right now, I'm developing the lexicon while I work out the kinks in the grammar. I'm doing that by translating list of example sentences.
